On the afternoon of January 12, the Shanghai Institute of Ceramics, Chinese Academy of Sciences, held the "2022 Annual Exchange and Sharing Meeting for Enterprises Held by Xikasi Enterprise Management Company." Wu Chengtie, Deputy Director of the Shanghai Institute of Ceramics; Han Jinduo, Director of the Science and Technology Industry Division; members of the Institute's Management Office; senior executives of the holding enterprises; heads of relevant technical teams; and staff from Xikasi Enterprise Management Company attended the meeting in a hybrid online-and-offline format. The meeting featured sharing sessions and guidance provided by Jia Jian, Chairman of Desilike Fluorine Company; Li Fei, Chairman of Zhejiang Boshiang Company; relevant officials from the holding companies; and Yan Yan, legal counsel of the enterprise management company. Ma Jiping, General Manager of Xikasi Enterprise Management Company, delivered a keynote report. The meeting was chaired by Xue Yan, Deputy General Manager and Chief Financial Officer of Xikasi Enterprise Management Company.
Ma Jiping delivered a keynote speech titled “From 0 to N: Brand Building Drives Technological Leapfrog Development.” He shared insights on the leapfrog development from technology to branding, the case study of Sany Heavy Industry’s leapfrog development, and the corporate management company’s development planning initiatives. The report proposed that the four stages of leapfrog development are accompanied by four corresponding mindsets. In particular, enterprises focused on technology transfer should place great emphasis on the 0-to-1 stage—the initial stage characterized by technological thinking. Sany Heavy Industry, which started in the materials sector and has grown into a leader in the construction machinery industry, offers a valuable lesson through its journey of closely focusing on its areas of expertise and expanding around core common technologies.
During the exchange session, Jia Jian shared the company's experience—gained from perspectives including market sales, product R&D, and production—on how to achieve rapid growth and outstanding results in a short period of time, boosting morale for start-up enterprises. Li Fei introduced the company's process of seizing opportunities and achieving profitability after the pandemic, as well as the company's development plan for the next three years. Representatives from shareholding enterprises—including Fang Jun from Xikasi New Technology, Liu Zhifu from Zhejiang Silicium Ceramics, Zhang Jingxian from Zhejiang Polyhedron, Wen Zhaoyin from CASZhaoneng, Liu Xuechao from Chongwei Crystal, Chi Xiaowei from Zheneng CAS, Wang Yaoming from CAS Taiyang, Xun Zhiguang from CAS Silicono, Yao Dongxu from CAS Shangyu, Kong Haiquan from Anhui Weixin, Zhao Wei from CAS Yixing, and Zhang Yuanyuan from the Nanotechnology Center—also exchanged views on their companies' operational progress in 2022 and their development plans for 2023. During the discussion phase, Han Jinduo stated that the keynote report was highly insightful, and through empowering shareholding enterprises via management, he hoped more enterprises would achieve healthy development. Legal advisor Yan Yan advised all enterprises, as they pursue "development is the hard truth" and strive to grow stronger, to pay close attention to enhancing risk awareness and reinforcing the concept of compliant operations.
Wu Chengtie delivered a concluding speech. He expressed his appreciation for the content and format of the exchange and sharing. He stated that 2023 marks the inaugural year for the corporate restructuring, and all enterprises should adhere to a pragmatic approach in their operations, diligently pursue development, come up with practical strategies for market entry, truly advance technology toward application, transform it into products, build industries, and in turn support scientific research and cultivate talent. The corporate management company should empower its portfolio companies to adopt professional management practices, continue strengthening exchanges and cooperation, and work together to achieve common development.
